Pressure Washer or no?

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I am just considering an electric one from Canadian Tire or Home Depot (or even Costco)...Simoniz, ActiveProducts (the yellow one), or Husky.

I just looked at their website, the variety is much smaller now maybe due to the season but I will look more into it during the spring, maybe there will be some discounts going on!

Great....I have to add a pressure washer to my wishlist which has a CR spotless system on it already..$$$$$

I think you should replace instead of "add" ;) as I feel it's more useful and save you money lol.

I think that once the expense becomes a consideration, most people oughta step back and reconsider buying more detailing equipment period.

EDIT: Make that "a *genuine* consideration". I kinda  when somebody buys an expensive vehicle and then stresses about the cost of a foamgun or a BHB ;)

But you get people like me who didn't pay for the car itself, but gotta pay for everything else myself ;(

Ah, yeah...never thought of that! But I do think you oughta keep the purchases down to the "not expensive enough to worry about" level unless you're going out on a limb to set up a business.

I gave up on them Karcher Kids Toys and Finally bought a nice one...

Yeah, I've given up on the Karchers too, but I'm not exactly looking to spend $4K either! That'll be great for you though, we had a propane powered one like that back in the day and it's amazing what they can do.

Its like people who tell e they don't use compressed air on interiors? ... It just doesn't make sense
.

Hey, I resemble that remark! I'll do it for some stuff, but generally I don't like blowing dust/etc. around and I don't blow out my A/C vents since it seems like it'll just blow that [stuff] down into the ductwork (to come back later).

EDIT: Hey, Barry's on the phone!

What ever you buy stay away frome HUSKY pressure washers they do not last at all.

....add the Task Force from Lowes to that list. I made the mistake of picking one up when I was in a pinch. ....poor design, poor quality and an overall crappy product. I typically don't buy things like that without researching first, but I needed it and thought I would be relatively safe with their more expensive model. Anyhow, its going in the bin as soon as I get a shed built and buy a real pressure washer.

I prefer to use steam rather than compressed air for interiors.

The nicenthing about a pressure washer is not only is it good for wheels and floor mats, but it also comes in handy when needing to clean porches, patio furniture, siding, etc. There is just something not right about an electric one, though....IMO, I would spring for the gas powered ones....oh, and did I mention how much fun it is to wash when you have a foam cannon attached to it??? In a nutshell, I love mine and cannot live without it!

Yeah, I found all sorts of applications for my gas one around the property, yeah, that thing was the [stuff] when it worked. It's like you never realized how much you need one until you start pointing it at things :D

Seriously, these threads always make me start itching to buy another one! OR two, one gas, one electric...

See, I have mixed feelings about using a gas one inside the shop  The mufflers usually don't lend themselves to exhaust tubes and besides breathing the exhaust I don't want it dirtying the air inside the shop.

Which one would YOU buy if you were to get an electric one right now?
