pressure washer! how did i clean without it?

EXACTLY. these 1300 or 1500 psi cleaners are not strong enough for anything other than small home use. but perfect enough for use on cars and the fine wide spray setting sweeps away all dirt.

Wal-Mart has a pressure washer that they are selling for $200.00. This unit is a Briggs and Stratton, gas,2gpm and 2200psi. It's not in a box, so I'm assuming that it was a display model or maybe even a return. That does't seem like a bad price ,but could I use this for everyday detailing or is that to much pressure for paint. I currently use a small pump to pull from my water tank, and would like to get a little more pressure. Does anyone use a unit this strong for the painted surfaces?

im sure you can find a way to use it. i know that mobile detailers like the extra power in certain cases. u just can be as freely as u can with a 1500psi unit. 2200 psi is a lot of force.

anyone know how much force is in a fire hose. i saw a video of firemen using it on an old car and the windows completely blew out.

STAY away from KARCHER. at least their 2500PSI model with home duty 5.0-6.0HP motor.
Get you a cat pump with commercial grade motor.

I HAVE THE same one............i love it, the cone setting is the best
the only problem i had with it was the trigger spring got messed up and it wouldnt stop spraying.........i took it apart put a bigger spring in, and now its a beast
good luck

im pickin up this one aswell next week when i get my paycheck. I pickedup a small plant/insecticide spray (2gal) to presoak the rims/tires/and all other dirty spots even engine bay.

Mine broke today. They are shipping a new unit without the accessories, but it'll take two weeks.
I'm going to try to get by without it, but I just happened to pick up a raincheck at Canadian Tire for a 1900psi 60% off. I waited till they all sold out and got a raincheck in case I need one before the replacement came.

Joyride,
how's the Husky holding out? I backed out from buying the Husky due to the problems DC members had exp.The Husky at HD was 1700 psi on sale for $99.00.. Reg-$169.00

They sent me a new coupling kit for water input, the other one broke. But I couldn't get any pressure. THere is a rattling inside, and the on-the-phone-person thought the fan broke off and damaged something, which makes sense since the washer only worked about 10mins before overheating. It sucks, so I'm glad for a replacement.

No, it was a Simoniz. I don't know what the American name is, but it isn't Simoniz, and I'm not sure what it is. Made in China.
