Preserve exterior black plastics - product recommendation?

Has anyone tried opti-seal on textured black plastic? My new RX-8 has a lot of it in the front end that I'd like to protect and I have a bottle of it :)

I bought Mothers Back to Black and it is a phenomenal product. Crisp black not too shiny and lasted for 12 weeks easily.

I'm in the situation the trim has lost its luster and is that grey color. I used 303 with amazing results but because the plastic was so dried out it sucked it up and I was reapplying bi-weekly (semi-monthly). I tried Mother's the next month and it looked just as good as the 303, if not slightly better, but I don't think it lasted quite as long. with the 303, I reapplied when it just started losing the black, but with BTB before I knew it, it was grey again.

I know this is preventative maintenance thread, but is there a good product for restoration, quick or slow doesn't matter.

What about Z-8? If I used PB Trim Restore first, would Z-8 keep it looking good and also prevent rain/wash streaking?

I would recommend Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus. By far this is the best trim protectant product i have tried. Very impressed by it.
Tried a lot of trim protectants and Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus is the best. Need to try it on my tires next.:2thumbs:

Klasse VRLP can recondition faded plastic. May need 2 applications. It finishes really matte or flat but should last a very long time (more than you think it has any right to). I've seen it stay on my truck tires for 6 months and a year on interior plastics (and still going).
