Premium - Garry Dean - Tampa, FL Detailed 2005 black Cadillac CTS-V

Garry Dean

Garry Dean Quality!
This past weekend I made a trip up to Jacksonville from Tampa to detail a 2005 black Cadillac CTS-V for a new client. The job was to consist of sanding down several touched up paint chips and to do a 1 step polish on the exterior as well as a complete interior detail and protect.

This car was very well kept, but still it was 5 years old and had some minor swirling. The owner had some paintwork done on the engine cover of this 400 horsepower LS6 engine. It was a very nicely airbrushed alligator. The engine bay was not part of the deal, but I felt it very necessary to go ahead and clean it up a bit.

Exterior:

Wash with Dawn

Clayed with Pinnacle Ultra Poly clay bar

Dried with the Absorber

Exterior windows cleaned with Adams Glass Cleaner

Taped with 3M and Duct Tape making tape

Wet sanded touched up paint chips with 2500 grit Meguiars wet sanding paper

Wet sanding marks were compounded out with 4” LC orange pads on G110 and Megs M105

Polished with PC7424XP, 5.5” Lake Country Orange pads, and Menzerna Power Finish

1 coat of Adams Americana paste wax

LSP was Adams Detail Spray

Tires and wheels:

Wheels and tires were sprayed with Purple Power

Wheel barrels were cleaned with Daytona Wheel Brush

Lugs cleaned with Carrand lug brush

Tires dressed with Optimum Opti-Bond tire gel and Eagle One tire swipe

Interior:

Vacuumed with Rigid 5hp portable vac

Interior windows cleaned with Adams Glass Cleaner

Leather, vinyl, and all plastics cleaned with Megs APC+ 20:1

All interior surfaces dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus

Door Jambs were cleaned with Adams Detail Spray

No, I still haven't purchased a new camera. Still using my trusty Canon SD1100IS.

:grinno:

So when are you getting the S90? :chuckle:

Just messin' with ya. Great job as always, keep it up buddy.

Yep! That's my car that Garry detailed.

Garry and I hooked up about a month ago when he was coming to Jacksonville to do several cars. That trip was cancelled, but Garry agreed to come up this past weekend and do my car.

Although I try to take care of my car, it is my daily driver. Garry turned it into a show car! I was thoroughly amazed at the quality of the work he did and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Now if we can get the pollen to go away.......

Thanks again Garry for a great job!

Awww, Mike, you're making me blush.

I do appreciate you, Sir.

It was my pleasure to take care of such an awesome car. It was one of the best kept 5 year old cars I have ever detailed.

Thanks again!

Matt, I am getting it very soon. Thanks for the kind words!

If you want one of those iPod socks (perfect fit) to use as a case, I have extras. Let me know and I'll send you one...I think I have a pink one that would fit you perfectly!

Thats messed up, lol

The only downside to having Garry do my car is that he took "before" pictures, which showed what a crappy job I've done in maintaining her.

Truthfully, with the rain and pollen around here lately, I just decided to let Garry have her "as is" and you can see what magic he performed.

Thanks again.

Great work Garry! :xyxthumbs

Menzurna has seemed to work very well on those black GM cars where the M105/M205 seem more prone to micro marring.

Off topic, but that engine cover looks kinda whack :bat

I would agree on the engine cover...

Great turnaround! I live in jacksonville as well and can confirm the ridiculous amount of pollen lately.
