Preferred pads for the Flex 3401?

I know this is a bit of a huge question, but is there a clear winner for the choice of polishing & finishing pads for the 3401?

I have been cautious about purchasing one of these due to the 5.5" BP only, but am interested to see what pads everyone has settled into to using? I tend to use 3M waffles with my rotary, but also have a few older SFX and Megs polishing pads...

many thanks folks :thx

I would like to know as well. I just got my flex and I am new to detailing.

I was thinking the 6.5" lake country flat pads. This set here 6.5" Lake Country Low Profile Pads

I'm also considering the CCS pads from them but I hear from this KB method that they prefer the flat pads over the waffle pads.

Also detailersdomain has their own 6.5" pads which look like they would work well with the flex. I think they are made by Lake Country as well but branded to DD. The Uber pads Uber Orange Pad 6.5 inch medium polish pad

I though the flex had a 6" backing plate? I would like to know if my 6.5" pads are effective with the flex as I have a bunch, and I'm considering getting a flex.

6.5 pads on the flex will work just fine. As far as which pads to use well you have a lot to choose from.Been using orange, white, blue ,red, black, Ect. just got some fo the new kompressors pads but haven't used them yet.As far as which make right now i can't tell you what make i have cause i have a good many. some cobra crosscut , Edge system. LLC,wolfgang.

I used both the LC 6.5" pads and the Meguiars pads (6.5" and 7"). Both work very well.

I also have some of the UK 3M pads...I think they are 6". I've only used them on my rotary so far though but would think they'd work just fine too.
