Prefered towels for ONR??

:chill: out guys, all we're talking about here is washing a car. Use some of your passion to raise money for the homeless this holiday season.

two quick questions for Less

1.) have you ever used ONR?

2.) have you ever used a Water sprite?

if you don't like the way Brwill uses ONR then don't do it

but I see no reason to bash the way he does it with out seeing some of his work

your " lucrative career" statement really makes you sound like an AZZ

I just have one question for you... have you actually read any of my posts? Apparently not, because if you did, you would know the answers to those questions already.

1) Yeah, all the friggen time.

2) No, I haven't used a water sprite. If it is a completely different product than an Absorber, then I am willing to extend my apologies to Mr. Brwill, and give him the benefit of the doubt that he doesn't in fact scratch the paint. But if they are the same (and I suspect that they are based on statements by Mr. Brwill himself), then there is no way it doesn't scratch the paint. I don't care what you do for a living, I simply do not believe a single word of it.

And I don't understand why you say "no reason to bash the way he does it without seeing some of his work".

We're talking about mopping up DIRTY water with a sponge, with no fibers. It's going to scratch the paint. Period.

You're asking me to believe that the laws of physics cease to exist in your shop. I don' need to "see some of his work" before I call BS

Here is my suggestion. Please, if you disagree, don't be a hater!!!

1. Use grout sponge as a wash medium.

2. Wash one panel at a time.

3. After each panel, blow ONR/water off with a blower (B&D, Weed Eater, electric).

4. Dry what little water that is left with your MF of choice.

Advantages- no need to wipe car twice.

no water trapped in crevices (door handles, trim, windows).

I am actually suprised that there is not more people that use this technique. I don't know what I would do with out my 200mph blower.

Hint- leave a little water on panel so the towel will be able to remove any dust streaks. If not, dip fingers in solution and flick a few drops before wiping.

All I deal with is black cars and the less I touch that damn color the better I am.

Once again, this is just a suggestion but I stand by this technique.

Oh wait! Target vroom yellow drying towel $7.99

Thread was awesome. Still has some good info..........back a page that it is.

If some is doing something and it's working for them, how do you know it will not work for you UNTIL you TRY IT?
