This actually relates to something prior to being able to detail the car.
I bought a 1993 Miata that's been sitting in a field for a couple of years. The paint is, um, ... passable until I can repaint it. It responded well to a small test buffing area.
However, the vibrations of the PC brought to light a new and different problem.
ANTS!!!! Probably uncles and cousins too.
They're all over the inside. They're even inside the hollow parts of the weatherstripping.
I've already stripped the trunk and mostly de-ant-ed that. I've sprayed with ant killer. I'll be pulling the remaining interior (carpet, door panels) tonight - the seats are already out.
Last night, I wrapped the car in plastic and set off an anti-ant fogger. This one is supposed to work through carpet and get into crevasses. I'll see what the results of that are tonight.
Any other suggestions?
