Pre-Autopia products - what to do?

So what should I do with some of my pre-Autopia supplies? Here's a quick inventory:

crappy glass cleaner - almost gone. Probably use it around the house

a few tire dressings I'm not crazy about - use them on other peoples cars. ;)

A few splashes of QD's and a clay bar - probably use these on my dad's silver Taurus

- Mother's QD that came with the clay bar - very little left

- Meg's QD in the maroon bottle - about 1/4 bottle left

- Black Magic QD - most of a bottle left. Will it be ok as a clay lube?

Mothers cleaner wax from the clay kit - use it on a friends car?

Zymol cleaner wax - not all that much left, see above.

I have a lot of cheap "100% cotton" diaper rags from the local discount auto parts chain. I hate them now that I've used MF. Should I just use them for cleaning the engine bay or toss them completely?

Have other people had such a variety of products when they found Autopia?

You know, some of the ones you mentioned are actually pretty good. Like the MOTHERS QD and the clay. For the Megs QD, do you mean quick detailer???

Yeah, I always did my research and got what I thought was the best product. But it was a while before my research led me to Autopia. ;)

The Megs says "Quick Detailer - Mist and Wipe" Just finished washing all my old towels. They completely fill a plastic grocery bag. I have 4 new or almost new "terry applicators" I think all of these items were the "Viking" brand from Murray's (auto parts chain in Detroit) Are the terry applicators ok?

I would hold on to everything you have. Some of that stuff is actually good as stated by C-MDX. For the tire dressing, use it on your friends and familys cars. I still have some Black Magic foam which I really don't like. I have to wipe it down or else it drips like crazy but it still gives my tire a shine even if it doesnt last that long..its better then nothing. So give the tire dressing and you can even wipe it down with the diaper rags. You can use the clay for your dad's tauraus and the remaining qds as lube. For the wax if you have enough for an application for a friend's car go for it. I use Excalibur carnauba wax(an old Turtle Wax product) for alloy wheels, hoping to keep a slick surface so brake dust doesnt stick as much. So you might be able to do the same with the Mothers. For the diapers use them for really dirty and grimey areas like you said the engine bay. If you don't use them for your car, im sure you'll find a use in the house. Unless space is REALLY an issue I would keep everything and use it all up. You bought the stuff might as well keep it around for whatever purpose then just throw it out.

Keep the QD's, as they are good products and can be used with clay. You can carry one in the trunk with a MF in a ziplock bag for emergency removal of bird bombs, too.

For the cheapo cotton "diaper" type cloths, I'd give them to my in-laws and tell them they are the greatest thing to final buff their paint with. Don't even need to wash the car first! :)

Just kidding (have to say that in case my WIFE sees this).

Actually, I'd use the towels for wheels/wheelwells, engine, greasy door jambs, etc. The tire products you don't necessarily like on your tires can be used for wheelwells. And cleaner waxes are great for doorjambs, painted engine bay areas, etc.

Excellent points! I had forgotten that I actually used to use the foaming tire dressing on the wheel wells. I'll probably end up buying more now. :D

I had also forgotten about putting a touch of wax on the wheels. And the old rags will be perfect for applying that. :)
