Doc said he doesnt think it`s a blocked artery but the triponan levels are really really high so he wanted to rule that out.

My mom had a stroke about 5 years ago but nothing else in my family. IIRC her brothers had heart problems.

Nurse said new docs do arm/wrist and older ones do groin..I`m no t sure which would be best but it seems they`re having a hard time getting an on call doc up here on Fathers day.

I didn`t know you had a fever. They assumed I had blockage but didn`t. Different situation, I wasn`t having any issues, they picked up a left bundle branch block on a pre op EKG. Apparently my heart doesn`t contract all the way. They said the problem was probably caused by a virus.

So obviously there are viruses that can affect you heart. It would actually be nice if that`s what it is as long as they could get it cleared up before it does any damage.

I just had a pace maker/defibrillator put in last Thursday. I had all the tests and everything else fairly recently so I kind of know what you`re going through. Did they already do a stress test or echocardiogram?

They did echo, no stress test..they marked that off the list. The way they explained it to me the echo would determine if stress test or heart cath is next step.

Doc called me last night about my test results and said I have some "extremely abnormal results".

He thinks its probably mio carditis. But said needs to rule look out blockage too due to the results.

Father`s day always makes me reflect on what is important and where to focus energy.

Had you had any signs/symptoms in the past where looking back you think “Hmmm, wonder if that was because of this...”

Blood thinners I`m sure, probably at least one other. Glad it`s done and you`re on your way to recovery. That`s a lot of blockage for someone your age. I`m assuming it`s a hereditary issue. Sometimes those things can actually skip a generation like most hereditary things.

Get some rest. You should feel better than you`ve felt in quite a while once your healed.

Nope but in pretty sure the main part of the heart attack came friday. The docs were very surprised it was blocked arteries.

Thoughts and prayers have been lifted up for you since yesterday. I`m glad they`re finding the cause of your abnormal readings and hopefully the stint and meds will fix you up.
 
Damn Brandt, that`s gotta be a helluva experience this young in life. Goes to prove you`re never too young for anything. Glad to see you`re doing ok now, going to have to take it easy now.
 
Brandt- just seein this. Prayers for you and your ticker, bud. Hope they nail down what’s wrong and you have a speedy recovery.

Thanks. Definitely a life changing experience. Might not be able to check out the lunch/dinner thread anymore bc I`ll get jealous.
