Have any of you guys visited the local junkyard to see if they have old hoods, trunks, doors, etc..... to use for practice with different polishes and pads?
Just jump right in with the PC, it really takes alot of hard work to cause damage even if you try. Just dont spend 30 minutes on a 1ft X 1ft section like that guy last week from Autopia and you'll be fine. With the rotary practice is a good idea but with the PC or Cyclo read up a little bit on proper procedure/polish breakdown/etc. and go for it.
You really don't need to practice using the PC , its a pretty straight forward machine and simple to use. There's a sticky here " How I use the PC " read it over and go to it . Have fun and happy detailing
yea but i think he's referring to practicing with polishes and pads. even if a pc is idiot proof, i really wouldnt wanna find out how well ssr3 works with a wool pad on my own car. lol..
i hope thats what u probably meant by it. if not. and u're just worried it'll cause damage. dont be.
Yeah, that's exactly it Joyride. My girlfriends car is swirlmark heaven, so maybe I'll just experiment on her car, she wouldn't know the difference anyway. The only thing she does to her car is make sure it has gas. If I didn't wash it, she probably wouldn't even take the time to run it through the car wash
