Post Your Unboxing Pictures!

Go look for "Etekcity Wireless Remote Control Electrical Outlet Switch"

It`s cheap and very effective. I used it for a lot of things inside the house!

Looks like i might give this a try instead, how is the range and functionality with obstructions??

Quick notes on the one i got :

So far it seems like you have to point the remote right at the sensor located in the receiver unit. I was vacuuming my buddy`s car and tried to turn it off but i was having to actually look for and aim at the receiver unit and it`s almost like the sensor has to be visible and free of obstructions for it to work....not a good sign. I will give this another try tomorrow and if it`s still the same, i`m returning it. This was recommended to me by another detailer in a FB group, but i do not know if it`s the same model/brand he`s got; I will contact him and confirm.

My bedroom is on the corner of the house in the 2nd floor and I was able to reset my wifi router and modem on the other corner of the house (it`s a small townhouse though, about 1600sq ft). My point is that it`s strong enough for anything that I can see, bad reception if it`s blocked by metal appliances such as washer/dryer.

I`d be confident enough to use it accross the garage, just make sure that the receiver isn`t blocked or surrounded by huge metal that will obstruct the signal sent. As long I can see the receiver, it should work, based on my experience. Dry walls are ok, as long as not too many of them.

Oh yeah, I don`t remember having to point it directly, unless it`s rooms away (resetting my wifi router & modem from my bedroom lol). I can literally put the remote on my night stand to turn on any lights or fans in my own bedroom. You can also wait until there`s a sale 5 receivers & 2 remotes for $22/23.

Tips from me if the wall plug is a bit blocked, get a cheap 1ft THICK cable extension from Monoprice. It worked like a charm for me :) Let me know if you have any other specific question!

I wonder if trying to turn off while inside the car would affect it as well then, since technically I`m inside a metal structure. I plugged mine at the end of the power cord which was like around 10-15 feet from me only. I might return it regardless since I`m not sold on the value for the price which is double of a single unit of the one you mentioned. Mine does have an extendable antenna ,so I want to play around with it more.

You know what, give me some time to actually unpack the stuffs and try to find it, I just moved to another house :D I`ll try to simulate what you asked. It would be half the distance though, since it`s only a 2 car garage. I`ll connect it to a light, and try to turn on/off with the remote while sitting in the car. I believe that it should work, I mean, there`s a huge window anyway. Might be a different story if the window is tinted with metallic tint.

Done!! Here`s the video for you to see and decide whether it`s the right one for you or not. The wall plug is right behind that gray-ish table (SOLID METAL) located next to the light fixture.

Second video, I put the trunk up to add more interference.

Liftmaster carries a "remote light switch" that does the same thing. It allows you to just use a Liftmaster remote. I use them in my garage for fluorescents and in my house for lamps. Just a heads up for anyone needing other options.

Awesome thanks!!! Ill give those a try, I confirmed the amp rating is good for my vacuum. The one I got seems to do better with the antenna extended, but that`s inconvenient for what I`m trying to use it.

Sure, no problem! Hope it helps any other members who need something similar to this. I`m thinking to add more lights in the garage and just use the remote as the switch!

Nice one 512! Is the blue one a waffle towel? Oh yeah, is that a magnet sticker, the smaller one on top of the blue waffle towel?

Picked up a few Gyeon items. Item not in the picture is another grit guard washboard. Still waiting on Gyeon Tire.

As much as I would have liked to get them from PBMG, I ended up ordering from another place due to the crazy high shipping costs lately for just a couple items. Hard to beat prime.

Let us know how the anti-fog works out for you, Guz.

Curious how the antifog works as well. I`ve had a bad taste in my mouth ever since I tried CarPro antifog.
