Get bigger shop space

We are really pushing 3M Scotchcal this year.

Trying to get a solid staff trained so I can sleep better at night

Continue to build our boutique image/reputation

Continue to develop an elite overal detailing experience for our customers.

Just one thing! I want to be the MAN!! When the word Detailing is spoken, I want my name to go with it.

Proservices- did you see my picks of the Bugatti I did a month ago. Cool car!

Goals for '08:

*Begin getting into the car show scene (I have my foot in the door because of a few clients)

*Get a more consistent client base

*Now that I have the jeep I'm looking at getting a trailer

---With the trailer goes a more visible advertising via getting it wrapped or airbrushed***

*Get my website finished (it's in process and should be complete by mid January, my designer is cutting me a deal and working on it in between other projects and charging me next to nothing)

*Place a yellow pages add

*Possibly break into the used car lot venue just to have consistent work

*I think the ultimate goal of any of us is to become better at our craft and be at the top of our game. No better way to do better business than have a service that everyone associates with excellence.

I want to do a Pebble Beach Concours car this year. I have done cars for Newport Beach and Santa Barbara, but not Pebble yet.

My target for 2008 :

1st quarter : Buy the Makita 9227C. Buy a test panel and practice on it. Also practice on beater cars around for free. In the list is also Menzerna compounds + polish ( still not sure which ones to go for ), Meguiar's M105 ( seems to be quite the compound to have ), Optimum Hyper Compound, Optimum Polish ( which have been proven to leave a clearer finish than Meguiar's M80, plus, no fillers! I also like the lubricity. ) Also, multitude of foam cutting + polishing + finishing pads from Detailogy, and Meguiar's So1o line of foam pads + wool pads too. If budget permits, 4 inch backing plates and 4 inch cutting + finishing foam pads as well.

2nd quarter : Buy more LSPs, in the list is the new M21 2.0, Collinite 476S and Moose Carnauba Wax ( currently using Meguiar's M16 ). Finalise which compounds, polish, pure polish, LSPs and waxes to use. Sell off the rest.

'1st post here but I''ve been lurking for a year or so now.

Goals for 2008:

1. Get mobile detailing business up and running

I'm going in with my brother on it and we've got all of the supplies now and have done numerous corrections on cars of friends, family, our family business, and our personal autos but we're looking to start a mobile detail in our area, our knowledge is that there's no one in our area except for hack jobs and a lot of people looking for an honest, quality detail.

2. Finish website This is taking the longest part. I'm a do-it-yourselfer and have a lot of friends in web-design who critique so much but it is helpful, hopefully by February it will be up and running and promoting our new business.

3. Resist the urge to buy more chemicals, machines, ect. b/c all the talk here always convinces me to buy more :grinno:
