I can't complain too much after those 6 major surgeries in 2009 I'm surprised that I'm still here.

The wife and I just celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary. :)
I have not been going to the custom car shows but my doctor gave me a prescription for some really good pain pills and about 2 weeks ago I took my car to a show.

When I got their I used PB-SW on the exterior got everything looking good under the hood wheels and tires but I was not happy with it so I used poorboy black hole worked it in good and boy the paint really popped.

I guess I have not lost my touch I won a 6 foot trophy that says
THE BEST OF THE BEST :yay

I need to polish the car but the Black Hole did the trick. :bigups

Along the lines of this thread, I have read a few posts (here and otherwise) in other threads about how some people feel the discussions become too technical. Personally, the highly technical answers are usually the only way I learn anything new from these threads and I enjoy them. But I understand how it can be way over the heads of the average DIYer.

Point being, try to consider the audience. Give both a basic answer for the noobs and a detailed response for the advanced. Also, offer cautions when you know that any advice carries risks. There are many solutions that are fine 90% of the time, but not advisable in the remaining 10%. (Uncoated, aluminum wheels comes immediately to mind.)

A tip for the less advanced people; look for advice to be repeated by multiple sources before trying. The tried and trued methods are often repeated, while the experiment someone did that miraculously worked will only appear once.

And be aware that some guys (hobbyists) give advice or endorsement here, then contradict themselves on other sites. :(

There are also times when the pros might post something with sarcasm or as an inside joke. Just because the source is highly respected doesn't mean everything they say is true. It is usually obvious to most, but to a noob who only reads part of a thread the tone might be lost.

Eg: If someone suggests Turtle Wax it might just be sarcastic.
