Post what you last paid for fill up

93 octane for $1.55 a gallon.

Once we take out Hussein, prices will drop. OPEC is ready to increase production starting in March.

I pay $1.90 for my premium here in California. I feel even worse for those in SF. Guess what? It's also 91 octane. Funny thing really...largest market for high performance cars and we have terrible gas. A lot electronics in cars have to reduce timing just to cope with this.

Here is an exerpt from an article in the paper, suggesting that we should switch to one grade of gasoline to keep costs down:

"Hamilton estimated that 95 percent to 97 percent of the state's [California] vehicles would run just fine on gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or 88. Fuels with higher octane ratings deliver less energy, but reduce knocking or pinging in some high-performance and luxury automobiles. Drivers who want high-octane could simply mix in additives at the gas station during fill-ups, he said."

Obviously Hamilton has no idea what he is talking about. I want 95 octane, not something even lower than 91.

I guess I should feel lucky that I live in one of the cheapest states for gas prices. I paid $1.60 for premium. But, my truck only gets 14-15 mpg and it still cost $46.00.

Premuim is running 1.63 a gallon here. I've got my timing advanced enough that it pings on regular and plus unleaded, but prices are not high enough that I am willing to sacrifice better throttle response and off the line performance (hey, Hondas need all the help they can get!) for a cheaper grade.

I just paid 10 bucks to fill up my hatchback. I probably won't need to fill it up again for a month. God I love my super slow economy daily driver / work car :D I can't wait till tomorrow to see what the drag strip will be charging this year for racing fuel. The big block guys better bring some cash!

I can't believe people have to pay over $2 per gallon. I saw a price sign on TV where the gas was over $4, in the USA! I never heard where that was, probably in CA, what a rip! Gas has come down to $1.66 for premium from $1.79. As soon as this Iraq conflict is over, their oil will flow freely and push down oil prices to record lows, I hope.

Keep our service men and women safe. :bow

$40.56CDN for 92 Octane Esso. (79.9cents/litre)

They changed the damned octane rating to 91 today, so now that's the highest available here.

Crap.
