Post Pics of Your Detailing Supplies Here!

Mike: Your shop vac hose isn't coiled ;)

J/k man, that garage shows your true passion for the fine details. I don't think anything is outta place! BTW: You have enough pads for every detailer in CT.

Everyone else, excellent setups as well. Nice to see how the rest do it :)

Hey Mike,

I really like the way you have your supplies organized!! :)

Plus your car....looks awesome as usual!!! :xyxthumbs

Tim

Thanks for the compliments all! The rims on my car are 17x9.5" Borbet Type T's. I have had them on since 4/2001.

There are some great collections here!! I too like to see how everyone else does "their thing".

TW85 HHI I bet you have the cleanest washer and dryer in SC!! :xyxthumbs

scottabir I see "the trinity" in your pic!! Do you have a preference of one machine over the other?? I have been thinking of getting a Cyclo to use for polishing duties.

Sean :lol I whole heartily abide by the "one product per pad" rule. Lot's o' products = lot's o' pads. I don't wash them either. I use them...kick them out with a nylon brush when done...then store them in the original bag with one end open. Once the pad reaches that "grundge" stage I chuck it.

Tim...I've seen bits and pieces (separate photos) of your collection and it has been impressive!! Do you have any photo's of the "whole lot"??

I find myself going to the rotary and cyclo the most. Most of my polishing is done by the cyclo. The PC is reserved for minivans that need carpet scrubbing (with the brush) and tight spots where the cyclo cant reach. I LOVE the DW849 though it is a true workhorse. It is heavy but you get used to it very fast.

If you buy the cyclo I dont think you will regret it. It takes a little getting used to for the first few times. I swear by it though. It makes polishing go a LOT faster than with the PC, if needed you can use more pressure without the bogging down like the PC.

mike, very nice collection. it looks like you are more of a seller than a user though. :D

and i wanna see ranney's collection. ;)

Porkanbeans,

How good is that Rigid Vac I see in the picture? Just what I'm looking for! :xyxthumbs

Thanks,

Jose

As Scottabir said, It is a great vac. It comes with all you need, nothing extra to buy unless you like a really small crevice tool (which I bought). It is very powerful, and it works great as an extractor for carpet shampooing jobs. Not as noisy as the other shop vacs I've used either. The only downside is emptying the dirt and knocking the filter clean, but that pleasure comes with every shop vac. :D It sells for a very reasonable price. If I can recall, I paid $100 for it.

I guess I'll post mine here.

My vac I used it once and love it (HD $80)

WS6, where did you get the pontiac racing banner?...tell me now go go go go go go:D

When I worked for GMMG one of the dealers that we were building cars for (Carl Black) brought a bunch over. I and one other person in the shop were the only Pontiac guys so we snatched a few. I'm sure you can find them on Ebay.

Great collections all!! Keep 'em comin'!!

My set-up, obviously not a huge amount, but it is serving me well so far............well until I buy some more as it is rather addictive :p
