Possible Name Change

BigChevMan

Broke Detailer
For the past few years I've "done business" as Star City Detailing. Now that I'm planning on going legit with a business license and insurance and such, I'm thinking of picking something more substantial.

Some of my ideas so far:

Decadence Auto Detail

Benchmark Auto Detail

What do you guys think? Any other suggestions?

Shine Supply, I tried clicking on the link in your sig but it came up as server not found...I would also check to make sure it's ok to put that link in there-don't want you to get in trouble.

Marketing major in college may pay off here...you want a business name, or slogan, thats easy to remember, at a quick glance, people will be able to read it and remember it...of the 3... stick with Star City Detailing...if you've been doing it with that name, past clients, will already remember you if they want a something else done...

There is also a flip side to this...if you change your name, that is a reason to send a mailer, or visit previous clients, so then you can get your face infront of them, to remind them that you detail vehicles. No matter how much marketing and advertising you do, "word of mouth" and "face to face contact" is the best, hands down.

Hope it helps...

+1 on Star City Detailing...

You can change the word Detailing though, but I really like the Star City...

Star City Auto Perfection?:)

I like it a lot, but I'm worried that People won't know that detailing is my business.

We had a guy here who had a tuning shop that I thought had a cool name, but no one knew what he did. His shop name was One Stop Auto Salon.

What about Cleanwerks?

I've done searches and no one has the name registered.

Quick Logo possibility?

Ohio's Finest Car Details.....Clean As A Whistle Car Details....MirrorWorks Car Details..Go Buckeyes Car Details..LOL..Maybe not..I like MirrorWerks better, sounds a little more professional to me..CleanWerks sounds janitorial..No offense

The Shine Guy. I can see the commercial now. You standing by a dirty car and you say “ I’m the Shine Guy and I’ll give your car a shiner . Then you lean over to make like your going to punch the headlight out and then BAM it cuts to the car all sparkling and clean. You point to the camera and say “I just gave you a shiner. Next thing you know everyone will be knocking down your door asking for a shiner.

And at that time you can send me a check for making you the biggest detail company in the world.

Your welcome.

I agree that the name should be easy to read and even easier to remember!

Here are a couple pics of the front of my shop. I'll throw one in of the logo on my bay door glass too.

This is a lighted sign box that is 12' long and just over 25" tall.
