Fabvsix- Did you use Z-PC first?

And what pads did you use to apply the Z-PC if you did? What pads for the Z2/Z5?

Ryan,

I'm a bit new to this technology or product applicator (PC 7424). I bought the "kit" that came with 3 pads. I was advised to use the blue one (for new car paint etc) for least abrasive application. When I bought the car with only 2 miles on it, I demanded they (dealership) NOT touch the car, so they gave it to me basically off the truck plastic wrapped from Honda in Japan. I then drove home and immediately used the clar bar and z1, z2 etc....So I didn't have to apply Z-PC as I understand from Sal "I didn't need it". I love the Grand Finale spray and Z6 to remove bird dropping etc....RL is 16 months old with only 10,000 granny miles as I work from home and it usually sits in the garage covered 24x7. I hope I answered your questions. Again I'm not well versed with all the PC terms, pads etc....One was white, blue and another color. I also got a Sonus box with all kinds of neat microfiber rags.....I'm NO expert, but very anal about keeping my vehicles VERY California clean....... :xyxthumbs

Oh, I also have a question for you guys. I'm debating whether to use my PC or hand to apply Zaino. The only problem is I don't have the blue pad to apply that thin layer, I only have gray pads. Will this be OK to use? I'm not too worried about wasting... I just think I'll get better results using my PC instead of going by hand.

I use LC grey finishing pads. works great for me. I do use more product but I really dont care. It makes much quicker work of it and I know I'm getting even coverage. I also feels that I can get The Z2 Pro on thinner with PC than by hand. :xyxthumbs

Has anyone else notice that when using a PC with Zaino its ALOT harder to get off? I just used the Z5 with my PC this weekend and it seemed like the Z5 was almost impossible to get off

You most likely put too much Zaino ! Use less and use the white cotton pad as oppose to the green one ! Same thing happened to me !

You cant "work" the product. You have to just layer it on quickly and thinly.

Hmmmm. My experience is the opposite; when I use the PC, the layer is so thin and even that it's a lot easier to wipe off residue. Can you tell us anything else about how you applied it? How much did you use, what type of pad to apply, etc., etc.?

I had the same problem last spring on my 03 silverado. Bottom line.... put it on to thick.

I never use a PC with zaino z2 it wastes too much product I find by doing it by hand gives me the look Im looking for imo
