Porter Cable Question

Hello,



I used my PC for the first time 2 Saturdays ago and I don't know what to expect. I don't know how it's supposed to sound either. Mine was a bit noisy making a tac-tac-tac noise and when I turned it off it makes a squealing sound. Anyone out there have the same experience with there PC? Is this normal? I've emailed David Bynon since I bought the PC from him. He mentioned that it might be defective. The PC rep said that this is normal. I did use it again this Saturday and it was still doing the same noise and I was able to finish a friends car succesfully which is the Audi. 2 C anyone?

Yeah, my PC is noisy in general and squeals when I cut off the power. I'm sure it's just a normal thing.
 
I've owned my PC since 1995 and it has never made any clicking noises or squeals. I'd be very concerned about that squealing in that it sounds like it could be a lack of proper lubrication. You do know that you should be taking these PC's in to an authorized service center once a year for lubrication. If mine made that sound I'd have it looked at.
 
Yes, mine (and as far as I know, others) makes a kind of pulsing "grinding" noise very similar to that of a Water Pik pumping away. I've never heard anyone describe it as clicking or squealing before.
