I'm in the market of getting PC and have some question.

I did spent some time to search in the forum and got some idea.

I'm planning to get PC7336sp or 7336 (which one is better?)

I looked at them from amazon.com and Lowes.

Q1. I'm not sure yet but I might be able to get Gift Certificate for Amazon.com. and wondering if their 7336 come with 6inch counterweight or anyother accessories. anything else I need to order from amazon.com?

Q2. What else I should get from CMA? Velcro backing plates VBP-6 or VBP-6C? or just get either DM-KIT, DM-DLX, or DAP-DLX?

Should I get any Orange pad? Do I need 5 inch backing plate for this?

If I get DM-KIT etc..do I need any extra pad?

Q3. I have PORTAWATTZ 300 Watt Inverter and portble battery. Can I just get power from this kind of setup? Portable battery-Inveter-PC 7336 ?

aww I have too many questions, simply I'm lil confused :(

I would appreciate any kinds of comments/helps.

Thank you

:p

As for your first couple questions....I went with a generic backing pad from C-Max (an auto-body supplier) and Meguiars pads: one of each, cutting, polishing, finishing. I'll probably pick up one more polishing because that seems to be the pad I use most.

As for the Inverter question, I can tell you that the 300W unit you have will not run the PC. Remember this:

Amperage x Voltage = Wattage

PC draws 3.7Amp x 120V = 444Watt

I'd recommend a 600-700 Watt Inverter because when you start up the PC, as the motor warms up, and as the load on the motor increases, it will draw more power. Just my .02

Both are actually the same if we talk about the body and the counter-weight. The main difference between the two - the 7336sp comes with a polishing pad. Stretching my answer, the 7424, 7335 as well as the 7336 are all basically the same, meaning they have the same body. However, this time, the counterweight that each unit has, will be different.

It should come with a 6" counterweight.

I would have suggested before to get the DM-Kit since it did have the MF Bonnet before. Maybe what you can do is mix and match the combination to get the best price, but to me, the minimum accessories you should have is the backing plate, 2 white pads, 1 yellow pad, 1 grey pad and MF bonnets. The orange pad, well, they say that its a combination of the white and yellow pad. Don't have one yet, so i can't really comment.

I hope i was able to help

I got mine from amazon.com and did not buy anything else for it through them. A detailer gave me a velcro backing for it...not sure where he got it though, and I get my pads from Griot's Garage.com
