Porter Cable or Polishing pad thread call out?

Does anyone know the thread call out of the male stud on Porter Cable polishing pads or the female callout on the machine itself?



I want to make an adapter so I can use my 3inch pads on a drill without damaging the threads. Thanks

Not to sound like a jerk, but if you're going to make this yourself, just pick up calipers and a thread pitch gauge while you're at the hardware store. Then measure your backing plate.

There's already an adapter like you are talking about for rotary backing plates if you have them (they are 5/8-11 threads).

Chemical Guys has them.

Had some extra time at work today and I dont have the pads on me. We have several machine shops at my work so I wanted to see if anyone knew off hand.
