Portable supply organization - pic's inside

Here are pics of my small portable set-up. As you can see, I am trying to make the most of my space by using small bottles for my products (most are 4oz). This allows me to have enough product for at least 2-3 cars at one time. I know this is a small box but I have a total of 26 different consummables (DACP, SMR, AIO, etc.) and 35 tools (MF's, terry's, brushes, wash mits, etc.). I have a small bag that holds my PC and pads. The only things left are two wash buckets, hose, vac, and extension cords. Just thought this idea might meet someone else's needs or at least spur some suggestions.

Also, I am always trying to streamline my detailing process so I had this idea to use velcro to attach the different bottles of product (AIO, SMR, etc.) to the top of my PC). That way when I am buffing and need more product, It is right there. My wife thinks I'm crazy because I even thought to make sure that the positioning of the velcro on the bottle makes is so that when I naturally reach for the bottle my thumb will be in position to flip up the cap, allowing me to just use one hand and never have to let go of the PC with the other. Sorry for the long post.

you know, that's a pretty good idea. i've got a b&d toolbox also, but i found that all my bottles were too big. i'll be sure to check for some smaller bottles next time im in the arts/crafts store.

thx onlybyhisgrace

Go to KMart. They have huge black and decker plastic tool chests with wheels that are deep and full of compartments. They are heavy duty. I use two fully loaded for my mobile detailing. Every supply fits in there. That, plus a hose, 2 buckets, vacuum, and polisher and I have everything.

I got it for $14.00

The toolchest I have can be purchased at Wal-mart (around $17 I think). You can get the small bottles either in the container section or other kinds are found near the trial size products like hairspray and tootpaste. Check out the link that Spilchy has left, the Black and Decker looks great too.

Here are my detailing kits I take to Concours Events. They pretty much contain a duplicate of the supplies I have in the garage.

These are the cases in the front trunk of the Boxster:

This is the large case:

OnlyByHisGrace, could you please re-post a picture of the "kit"? I'd like to see it. Currently trying to put together a kit of my own.

Thanks

The only pics I see by Onlybyhisgrace is a hood of a car, a mustang, and a guy standing next to a porta-potty-- no portable kit??

JB- That is a very nice and intelligent set up. Did you customize the cases w/ the foam to allow each product its *own* place?

JB in Irvine.....WOW !!!!! :bow

I'll second that emotion :D What labeling system do you use to create the labels? How do they hold up with handling and any moisture?

JB,

Nice storage. Is that a Pelican camera case? I think that would be an excellent way to carry around concours supplies.

And this all fits inside a Porsche trunk. Lovely.
