Portable Extractor ?

I'm looking into getting an extractor. I'm doing mobile detailing using my mazda 3 so size and weight are the key factors. I don't want a Little Green Machine, thanks but I've heard horror stories about them destroying carpets. Any help or pointing in the right direction would be great. thanks in advance.

How long have you been using the Durrmaid?

How frequently do you use it? How long do the sessions last? (Trying to get a handle on durability)

Do you have experience with any other brand/model?

Have you had any problems tripping breakers, or are you using a portable generator?

We use a port generator No problems

When plugged in no problems

Last time I used it it was running from 9 am to 3 pm without being shut down no problems.

I have used 6-7 different extractors since I started detailing..Wouldn't buy any other again after using this one. Water is always nice and hot it maintains the temp so if it start cooling down it will reheat it. From the fresh water being cold it only takes around 15 min to heat up. Works great and the water is always HOT.

Mazz, I am glad you are having good luck outta the duramaid. Ive heard horror stories about the unit from other professionals around the country. How long have you had it? What company did you get it from. Thanks

I purchased the unit from Detail King and I love it. I did have a problem with the unit shutting down due to faulty wiring of a few duds from durrmaid. I called them up and it took about 15 mintues to fix and never had a problem with it. It is super light weight I believe about 17lbs. I plan on buying another one if I am able to purchase another mobile unit.

I have heard nothing but good things about the sensai; I know it is 1200 bucks, but everyone says nothing but good things. And I know that if a extractor goes down for a week or two, that could mean a lot more than 1200 bucks.

my 2 cents.

Hey Labster, did you end up getting one? I'm interested to know how well it fits in your Mazda3. Is your's a hatch or sedan?

Myself -- Strato blue hatch.

Wow, good info. I've been looking around for a site like that for a while. I ordered the T5 as well as a steamer. There prices on the steamers appear to be excellent, as the one I was previously looking at was much larger, took longer to heat, and much more expensive. Thanks again for the good info.
