I think Porsha is beinging to lose the plot but luckily they have an EXTREMELY loyal buyer base most of whom would NEVER consider a Z06 now a caymanS on the other hand..

And if you didn't care about performance, you'd be better off in a Boxster (or not in a Porsche at all.)
When you build sports cars and you're getting spanked by competition, there is no excuses to be made. If the 911 was the one that was smoking the Corvette for many thousands less, there would be nonstop praise about it, and not one of you would "rather have the Vette", even if the build quality was slightly better (which is about the difference between a 911 and 'Vette right now.) Not only is the Corvette a better performer, it's also a more suitable daily driver, and I'd throw out that it's most likely superior in terms of reliability and longetivity, along with far cheaper basic maintenance.
If you intend to outprice your competition in a sports car market, you sure better offer better performance. If not, then you haven't succeeded.
And for the record, I like the new GT3. I just like the Corvette a whole lot more.

Check the relative resale values on a % basis. You can not make a u- turn with a Corvette ( on my block) it is easly done with a Porsche. The seats and the finish of a Corvette say Chevy. Give me a brake. However, it is made in this country. I think. And which car would rather be driving on a twisting mountain road. However, I would give you the Chevy on a drag strip. But a drag strip in short bore.
