Porsche GT3 Detail (Big Pictures)

Hi Guys,

I thought you might be interested in a Porsche GT3 I detailed on Saturday. The car was a freebie for a friendâ€â„¢s dad as it will be the â€ËœCover Carâ€â„¢ for my portfolio.

The process / products were : Wash (GC), Clay (Megs), #80 (Sonus Green), NXT (Sonus black) & S100 by hand. AA was used on the tyres.

The car has 36K on it and had more than its fair share of swirls and scratches due to dubious washing techniques (plain water and a brush only). I shifted all the swirls and most of the scratches (about 90% when viewed under Halogens) the reminder were greatly reduced. I should really have used something a bit more aggressive at first but the detail would have ran into a second day or a late night (I could do neither) and the owner was blown away with the results anyway.

The GT3 is one awesome car and the detail earned me a tip, but more importantly a test drive â€Â¦

Enjoy :

That is one mean driving machine. Nice detail :xyxthumbs

So how fast did you drive it ? ;)

mmmm mk1 GT3 :bow

If only they would have imported it to the US.

Excellent job. I have to second the great photography :xyxthumbs I may have a new desktop for a while.

Superb work. Some of the best depth and reflections I've seen here. And a freebie too - very generous of you!

What did you use on the wheels? from memory those rims are unpainted/uncoated?

FaNtAsTiC!! dream car... dream detail.

hope you had fun!

I thought those GT3's were only available in white? Obviously not! :o

i think the white-only ones are the GT3-RS's. they come white-blue, or white-red.

Just gorgeous, absolutely dripping wet and no sign of souveran :) Gotta love jet black cars, and gotta love even more jet black GT's !!!!!!! Amazing job you did :xyxthumbs

EDIT:: those wheels look a PIA to do ?

Very nice. I agree with the post above. I was to know how fast you got 'er.

It was driven within the legal limit and very cautiously ... The owner was at the side of me but even without him their I would have driven it no differently.

I have great respect for powerful RWD cars, especially ones with a value this high that donâ€â„¢t belong to me !

Even with the sensible drive it was obvious that the car was special, I have never driven a car that rides so firm or is a solid as this.

Apparently the first UK road tester said if their was a coin in the road you wouldnâ€â„¢t just feel it, you could tell if it was heads or tails !

The wheels are lacquered but luckily for me they only needed a normal wash.

They were subject to a part refurbishment last year and the car did very little mileage over winter having spent the last three months In the local Porsche garage.
