Porsche Carrera, Limited Swirl Edition

LastDetail

Whose yer DADDY!??!?!?!?!
Hey everyone, this Porsche belongs to a gentlemen who is a first time customer. When he called me last week about his car he said that it had some minor swirling that he wanted to get rid of. I told him no problem and we set up the appointment. (For once I got to detail at home). He showed up at my house yesterday and dropped off the car. An 05 Porsche Carrera in Midnight Blue. This color is apparently EXCELLENT at hiding swirls. I thought it was going to be a fairly easy job. Boy was I wrong, once I got it under the halogens a whole different story popped up and I was wondering if I would be able to finish it in the 6 hours that I had to work on it.

This is what I saw before I got it in the garage. Looks pretty clean and straight forward. Right?

WRONG!

And Suzanne came by right when I was finishing to go to dinner, she demanded to sit in the car, so I got a picture of her doing so. I know, I know, it's just that I'm retarded for this girl.

Don't worry, I can see why your retarded.

I'd be retarded too.

But yes, great job on the detail. It's too bad that you couldn't get any day shots because I'm sure they would have been awesome.

Wow; now thats what I call a response!
Actually Suzanne is my girlfriend of 5 years. She is the girl who I was talking about in my post in the Off Topic forum looking for ideas on how to propose to her. (Which I am going to do this weekend), and she also owns the white Integra that you can see in a couple of my detailing threads.
Yeah it was weak that the sun wasn't shining, however it was a blessing in disguise because that meant it didn't get to blazing hot while I was working out in the garage, especially working under the 1200 watt halogens.

I really liked the color, that deep blue is just awesome and flows really well. However the entire time I was working on it while the lights were on it looked purple, so after a few hours I was convinced that the whole car was deep purple. My brains were a little scrambled I suppose.

Thanks for all the compliments, even though they may or may not be directed at my work! :bigups

I guess you're the Head Retard!

:hail All hail!

Nice detail, nice car, and very nice option package :)

Good luck on your proposal, I hope it goes well.

My car is navy blue metallic, and it hides swirls pretty well too. Must be a characteristic of the color I guess.

Awesome job on the car... and I'd be nutty for Suzanne too if I were you! :)

Good job on the 996 Porsche! The paint can be a bit of a PITA! What a big difference. I'm sure the owner was very pleased. Tell him to stop taking it to car washes! Man that was bad.

I see the owner put Turbo wheels on this car. Chrome too!

Just yesterday, when I was at the in-laws for Fathers day, I parked in the front of the driveway. Well, there's a nice big A$$ pine tree over there. When I went to leave, I was pissed. Little droplets of sap all over my black Porsche! DAMN IT. Just got done claying it. Next time, I'll move the car and bring the cover!

OK retard, go and propose to her, pop the big question, etc. DO it right though.. nice and romantic dinner and find other ways to show your devotion.

Best wishes!

Deanski
