Porsche Carrera GT & G55 Mercedes

Whose yer DADDY!??!?!?!?!
OK so here we go again, another exotic, I swear I don't know what this guy does for a living, but I want to major in it!

First up, (of course) the Carrera GT. My god what an awesome car. The owner actually left the keys with me and gave me approval to move it if I needed to. I however to save myself from temptation declined to operate such a beautiful and expensive automobile.

Process:
Megs Gold CLass wash
Natty's Paste Wax
Mothers Endurance low gloss tire dressing

What an absolutely amazing car with a very easy to wax body shape. Just amazing.
Next up the Mercedes!

First off even though I drive an SUV I hate to work on them, only because this guy is such a great customer did I agree to wash and wax his wifes ginormous vehicle. I needed a step ladder to take car of the roof and I am 6'1", it's not like I'm a small-fry or anything. What a pain, but it is black car and well we all know how it goes; black is by far the most satisfying color to work on.
Process:
Megs Gold Class wash
Natty's Blue Paste wax
NXT window cleaner on all glass
Black Magic tire dressing (3:1)

Very aggravating to work on this car just because it is so tall and there are so many places that the wax gets caught in that then needs to be removed with toothpicks. (sigh) At least the owner was pleased with the results.
Comments and questions welcome on both cars.
Thanks for looking.

Wow! Two really nice cars. They were pretty clean to begin with, but definitely looked much more glossy/shiney in the afters. I think a smart move not driving the GT. If I got behind the wheel of that thing the owner never would get it back.

You gotta find out what he does for a living! Wow great cars! Do you only use Natty's because he doesnt want long lasting protection, or he just doesn't drive them enough?

Andrew

Looks great, can you post this on exotiXboard to? Big props with the G55, the car is indeed a b**** to work on. I had a 2002 G500 and it was a pain!

It's an interesting question because I actually brought it up to him myself the other day when I was doing the cars. I explained to him about the differences between sealant and waxes and all that, and about other waxes that might last longer than the Natty's. However he just shook his head and said he wanted "that great soft stuff" that I had used on his other exotics, which was Natty's as well. I told him that it wouldn't last as long and he responded with, "well I guess you will just have to come work on my cars more often then won't ya?" I guess he just has the money to burn and I have turned him into another Natty's nut. :)

do u ever do any prep work prior to the lsp. the cars loks as if they dont need it, but maybe its because uve prepped it on prior details.

also, on the g55 tire/wheel pic. did u put the blackmagic dressing on yet when u took the after photo or did u wait till after. black magic is super glossy and wet and the tire looks like its not dressed. trying to make sure im not looksing my vison here.

good work, i think that by not moving the car, the owner takes it as a form of respect to him and his vehicle!

:)

What a life you live! Great job on making the finishes look so wet. The G55 looks like a hard vehicle to work on with those metal covers on the fender/hood area and huge body side moldings. Is the rear spoiler on the GT able to move up and down?

He said that he diluted the dressing 3:1. I don't use Black Magic anymore because they really browned my tires and didn't last at all. So now its Meg's Hot Shine. It doesn't seem to brown and the tires stay black for a very long time.

Thanks for posting it, use nothing but hyper dressing. It won't damage either of the cars Ceramic brakes, the Enzo's or the CGT's.

You need to get this dude to let you do a photoshoot with all his cars in his driveway or something. I would love to see all of them lined up after being "detailed" if thats what you call a wash and wax..hahaa. Good job man. If you dont mind me asking, how much do you charge this guy?

what a beautifal car the porsche gt is. you really did a nice job bringing out the shine on those beauties. nice work!

JoyRide: Yeah this guy is pretty old-school he truly believes in the power of “wash and wax” and he thinks that is all the cars ever need. I have tried on a couple of occasions to explain to him the benefits of sealant and clay and polishing etc. but he thinks that it’s a ripoff. Last time I brought it up he actually told me, “If you want to keep my business follow the first rule of sales.” So he is happy with wash and wax, so that’s what he gets. I do the tire dressing out of the kindness of my heart.
And you are right again, I am dumb and took that wheel picture before I did the dressing. My bad.

BLACKWRX: yea it is the same guy. He rules.

MADRCN: Most of those metal covers actually flip up to get underneath them so it’s actually pretty easy. The height on the other hand is just a pain. I had to get a step-ladder. Weak. The spoiler does actually move up and down, but I have no idea how to do it, I just waxed the underside by feel.

RUBigDog05: Yeah what this guy calls “detailing” I call the Bare Minimum of Maintenance. But he is happy so I guess I am happy too. That day I also did his silver G55, (you can see it in the background of the Porsche after pictures) I charge $50 for the SUVs and $35 for the cars. I also did a quickdetail on the Enzo with some tire dressing for $15.

Thank you guys for the nice words, you guys all rule.
