I decided to hit the bonnet first which was done with 3m Fast Cut Plus on a cutting Pad and took 2-3 hits

Once i finished the bonnet I started to work on the front wings and work my way down the car using menz 3.02 amd a 3m black waffle pad and this is when the problems begin. The "sticky paint syndrome started at this point and the polish instantly started gumming up and the paint grabbing the pad so I gave up with taking correction shots. This really tried my patience and made it into a long day and several times I had to stop to calm down. I tried everything i had but found adding Ultra Fina and loads of last touch helped a little but still fought all the way with it and had to change my techinque

After this I refined the finish using Ultrfina on a 3m blue pad and gave the vehicle a rinse before giving it a wipe down with IPA. 3 coats of zaino Z2 was applied to paintwork and wheels and then a final wipe down with Z8

Tyres were treated with 2 coats of z16 and wheels also recieved a coat of zaino cs

thanks for looking

Hate them days of the sticky paint syndrome, I know the pain it can be, but the end result looks awesome. Great recovery Gleaming Kleen...............

:bigups :bigups :bigups
Were the swirls caused by quick wipe downs at the race circuit? It almost looked like it had been wet sanded. :)
Whatever, you did a great job taking care of them.

Kind of off topic, but can that type of car get much use of the horsepower other than at a track? I was under the opinion that open space was not real common in England. (Not that it's that easy to find open uncrowded roads here, either.)

it was done from just poor wash techinques. The owner said he never washed the car till he got the car back to the UK from the track and even then it sat for days before he ever washed it.

And yes that kind of horsepower is only really for the track..Thats the only time owner drove it..Good to see a car being used properly and pushed

Nice job on that Porsche GK. The color almost seemed to change on the polished side of your 50/50 shots.
