Thought I’d share some info I got from CMA regarding Blackfire. I recently did a full detail. What I did was wash, clay, SR #9 2.0, wash, Blackfire Polish, Blackfire Paint Protectant. I was worried about the Blackfire bonding after I used the #9 2.0 even though it looked awesome so I washed it again before going to BF polish.
I emailed them asking about proper prep and they said that they had been experimenting with different Meguiar’s and 3M polishes and did not experience any difference in bonding or durability. Also they said I could skip to the Blackfire Paint Protectant at any point the paint looks good, you don’t have to use Blackfire polish, just like Klasse Sealant Glaze.
My paint didn’t look any better or worse from using BF polish after the #9 2.0 so I probably could have skipped one or the other. Anyways, that’s it just though I’d share what I found and maybe save somebody a few bucks and/or some time.
