Poorboys Wheel Sealant + Michelin Brake Dust Repellent ?

I use Poorboors Wheel Sealant and have a case of mostly unused Michelin Brake Dust Repellent. I'm in a pitched battle against brake dust!

Was wondering if I can use the MBDR over the PWS to any good effect?

Would MBDR remove the PWS?

I'm desparate to keep brake dust down between cleanings and make cleaning less of a chore. :help:

TIA

I think the Wheel Sealant shouldn't be affected by the dust repellent and you really shouldn't need it..but since you have it ..use it :)

I think I used the MBDR and didn't really find to be that effective. A few coats of Ws on the rims may not cut back on the amount of dust, but it will make clean up much easier during regular washes.
One of the things that I have found to help cut back on the brake dust was switching over to ceramic pads.

Good luck

Thanks, Guys - Talk about dust: I have 8 piston calipers and 17" brembo cross-drilled rotors on the front. Great brakes, dust horribly...

No ceramic or kevlar pads available. I've used Mintex/Rotex/EBC pads on other cars but sacificed stopping power...

So... Because the PWS takes longer to apply (but well worth it! 3 coats on now!), my thinking was to use the MBDR after a wash as a stop gap.

Although, the PWS makes cleaning a snap, my pads dust so much, was hoping the MBDR would help shed some dust on the fly a bit better than PWS alone....?

MBDR does not last like PWS, of course, but I was trying to get the best of all worlds - longevity and easy cleanup of PWS with shedding-on-the-fly and easy application of MBDR without having MBDR strip the PWS.

Since it wont strip the PWS, I'll probable givi it a try, or else just surrender! :surrender

I'm open to any tips...

My F-150 dusts horribly I just wash the rims regularly and try to stay on top of it. I usually do a quick S+W every time i get the chance so they still look shiny.

(hey Low Tech just want to clear up for ya i know what you mean by PWS Poorboys wheel sealant but that could be mistaken for another Poorboys world product Polish With Sealant PWS i would stick to WS for Wheel sealant )

You're right, Pockets - Thanks for the clarificatio on the abbreviation... (So many products and only 26 letters of the alphabet!:))

I may just perform a 4 wheel experiment with different combos on each and see how it goes, unless a fellow member knows the secret!
