Poorboy's Spray + Rinse Wheel Cleaner containing HFl?

GSRstilez, I think that it is safe to say that your supposed "insider source" is a very credible source of misinformation and now everyone can see that clearly. Time to get a new source. You may want to call Steve (Poorboy) for information direct from the manufacturer, that's what he's here for.

well Mr. leyland can you explain why my finger was peeling along with my friends ? Or maybe steve can answer that ?

Because it is a wheel cleaner, not a hand cleaner. The label says avoid prolonged skin contact and to wash hands immediately after contact with soap and water. For best results, read the label BEFORE use.

I don't know. Maybe you have tender baby-like skin?

I'm no chemist but from the research I have done "Ammonium Bifluoride" which is listed on the MSDS sheet has the same toxicity profile as "Hydrofluoric Acid." It seems from what I have read, Ammonium bifluoride can produce hydrofluoric acid.

But I don't see hydrofluoric acid listed on the MSDS sheet. So I would assume that means it isn't in there (the wheel cleaner).

I just hate friggin rumors, "supposed sources" and BS misinformation.

If people have something to say, allege or assume, make sure you can put something on the table and back it up or else I will call you out and make sure that the BS stops right here. We are not going to pin vendors or manufacturers of any product to the wall with an uninformed witch hunt started by rumors and "invisible friends".

Like I said, if you have proof, show me don't tell me. Talk is cheap.

Poorboy's stock just went up in my book. From now on I'll be taking his word over folks who come in with information from 'reputable sources'. Obviously there are people out there who are jealous of Poorboy's success and effectiveness and would like nothing more than to hurt his sales by libleous accusations of hazardous chemcials in his products.

If you ever come to one of my parties and have the punch examined by a chemist, please don't go running back to KoolAid and tell them that they discovered vodka in the punch. You are just going to look like a moron when they prove you wrong.

No it proves that someone has a hidden agenda and that's all!!....you have someone with a " I heard in the wind" statement what do you think that motivation is?

I've been in sales longer than some of the posters have been alive....Any time someone accuses a manufacture of an illegal practice....its to draw attention for a personal agenda!

The instructions don't say to rinse your hands. They say to wash your hands. According to the CDC's instructions on how to wash your hands, it appears that rinsing is the final step.

The CDC website said:

What is the correct way to wash your hands?
  • First wet your hands and apply liquid or clean bar soap. Place the bar soap on a rack and allow it to drain.
  • Next rub your hands vigorously together and scrub all surfaces.
  • Continue for 10 - 15 seconds or about the length of a little tune. It is the soap combined with the scrubbing action that helps dislodge and remove germs.
  • Rinse well and dry your hands.

I am in charge. I feel it would be wrong to lock the thread without giving GSR a chance to reveal his source and wipe the egg off his face.
