Poorboys Glaze???

Hey, I was wondering when steve is going to come out with a Glaze type product..... mabe soemthing along the lines of megs # 7 :) have soem filler sin it and give a nice wet look or does SSR 1 already take that minus the fillers?
 
Use SSR1 with a finishing pad to get the effect of a glaze without fillers. PwC can be used with the same method. PwC will give a brighter look than SSR1.
 
This may be a stretch, but can you use EX or EX-P over Nattys? Just thinking of the situation when you've topped EX or EX-P with Nattys, but want to put on another layer of EX or EX-P several weeks later. Just wondering if you need to strip the Nattys first before applying another layer of EX or EX-P.
 
To be safe, I wouldn't put a Sealant on top of Carnauba. You {MIGHT} have a bonding issue with that. That is why you put 2 layers of sealant down, then maintain with carnuaba until your ready for paint cleaning again, whether that be 2-4x per year.

IMO SSR1 is like a glaze with mild abrasives and no fillers. It removes minor swirls and leaves the paint very wet looking.

Think #9 without filers.
 
This is were I get confused! I always consider something with high filling properties to be a glaze. No?
 
I guess when describibg SSR1 as a glaze I am referring to the look as opposed to the filling properties of a glaze.

Does that makes sense?

IMO it is more of a combination product that will remove swirls and light oxidation, enhance color, and leave a wet, ready to wax/seal surface.
 
A glaze is really adding in oils to the paint to produce that wet look - some have fillers to aid in reducing swirls and what not -
 
I consider a glaze to be a product that is primary used for its ability to create a rich, deep, and wet appearance. How it goes about doing that (polishing powders, oils, fillers, solvents, etc.), is a separate issue. Glazes are not expected to have any protective qualities either, but that does not preclude them from including this feature.
 
ok here's one to ponder..wax is a filler by nature...try putting down some Natty's wax first, then EX, then EX-P to seal it all it ...do all steps by hand one after another:crazy
