Poorboys EX-P over Clearkote RMG?

I don't think most sealants will bond very well over a glaze, unfortunately. I'm still trying to figure out how to bring RMG back into my routine as well without having to give up my sealants.

Plus, the problem with putting RMG on top of a sealant is that 1) its not supposed to be applied like that 2) it has cleaners in it, which could comprimise the sealant

I would really like to bring RMG back to give me that flake pop :(

My normal regime is to use EX-P over RMG and then to top the EX-P with poorboys blue after 24 hours or so.

I have never experienced any issues with this combo and don't believe that the EX-P is compromised by layering in after RMG.

I use the same combo as Taubs does quite a bit and have had no problems. Always turns out looking awesome!

Has anyone tried KSG over RMG? I know chances are slim :sosad but can anyone who's tried it before advise me?

Someone has told me to AIO over the RMG before applying KSG, but I sorta think that the AIO is going to nullify the RMG. Any opinions?

I'd stick with using carnaubas or sealants like EX-P and EX w/carnauba that don't need a perfectly oil free surface to bond. I have used EX-P and EX over RMG on numerous occasions with excellent results.

I think maybe RMG over AIO might work (because maybe the cleaners in RMG aren't that strong? I'm not sure, I'm going to try this combo in a few weeks and will see what happens). However, AIO over RMG will almost definitely, as you said, probably nullify it - makes sense, since one of AIO's main points is as a paint cleaner, so it would be significantly stronger at doing so than RMG which just happens to have some light cleaners in it.

Ideally, I'd like to do AIO - sealant - RMG - Natty's Blue - Aquawax

But I don't think it'd work... :hmph:
