Poorboy's EX and Trade Secret

I did this Jaguar XKR Silverstone for a client over the weekend and just as I was finishing the last rotary stage Mr. Mailman came along and delivered me my package from Mr. Dwayne.

Along with some other goodies (My thanks to Dwayne for "all things" in the package and for the little note on the box:D ) came Poorboy's Polish and a bottle of EX Sealant.

So I went over the entire car again with the Poorboy Polish and then the EX. I allowed this to sit for about 35 minutes while I detailed the wheels out. The EX went on easy, smells great and removed with no problem, even in high humidity.

The shine and depth was an added bonus and things really got glossy after I topped it off with Trade Secret. Since the color is Silver it is very hard to pick up the depth and gloss, especially in these digital pictures so if anyone is interested I will gladly e-mail them the larger pics (I hope I can).

The first picture is of the Silverstones Super Charged V8.

My favorite is the front shot of hood, really looks deep and a great shine to it...(Im looking for better words...may have to dust of my dictionary next time.....)

I don't know what everybody is getting all exicted about? This is typical Anthony.................... superb work, on an awesome vehicle! :D :D

Great job Anthony!

Thank you all for the good words and I also noticed that the wheel and tire shot was before my final tire wipe down:mad:

They lok kinda streaky and uneven....man I hate it when that happens:rolleyes:

Thanks,
Anthony

Nice work

Looks Great....how did the owner like it?

No we didn't notice the tire until you told us...lol

Poorboy,

The owner has not yet seen it because....well, if his wife sees it again, especially right now, she will give him flack because she loves that car. They bought her a new 2004 Z4 which she likes but the Jag was really special to her I reckon.

So it is best if I just sell it soon and be done with it. Anyone seeking to buy a Limited Edition Silverstone???

Take care,
Anthony

Anthony,

At least take a picture for her to remember....

Steve

Hey Dwayne is the Jag on your wish list;)

Natty I don't think we could afford general maintenece at the dealer for the Jag:D never mind insurance

Anthony,

Just curious......... I'm sure you've had the opportunity to try P21S. However, you seem to prefer the TS. Why do you prefer the TS? I'm guessing that the TS has better durability, and probably can be layered better than the P21S.................. any other reasons?

Thanks

Yo Boss,

I use the P21S mainly on silver and light colored metallics as it seems to give more of a sparkle and shimmer to the paint. Trade Secret leaves a better finish on dark colors and adds better depth.

I didn't use P21S on this Jag though because I lent it out. Doh!

I really haven't tried a durability test between the two and not sure if I will as most of my clients get their cars waxed monthly anyways so longevity and durability is not a major concern.

Take care,
Anthony

Thanks Anthony, and that's exactly why I was asking............ the P21S does look nice on the light colors. Seems that any waxes/sealants that have that really "wet/reflective" look work better on light colors. The caranaub's that have that "softer/deeper" appearance always seem to work better on the darker colors.

Anyhow, my son has borrowed my P21S & EF Clear Pearl! (permanently I suspect) I don't mind, as now it gives me an excuse to try some different stuff. I think I'll be trying some of the TS, as all the vehicles I need to do are dark colors.

Thanks again.
