Poorboy's Detailing Day is On

Updated Checklist for Attendees

For those of you attending PB Detailing Day this weekend, here is an updated checklist of items that will be provided on-site as well those items you are expected to bring yourself.

Poorboy's will provide for your use:
- The full line of Poorboy's World branded products, except microfiber towels.
- Water source, hose, buckets, and mitts for washing vehicles. Sorry, no brushes will be available.
- Dwayne at Premium Auto Care has generously donated some extra pads for those of us with limited supplies. (Thanks Dwayne!)
- Ice cold bottled drinking water all day.
- A few pop-up tents will be available.

Your responsibilities:
- Upon arrival, drive to the East side of the building and park where indicated. The dealership will be open for business as usual on Saturday, so it is important for us to park in the designated area.
- Sign in at the registration table and receive a name tag.
- If possible, arrive with a freshly or recently washed vehicle. While washing implements will be available on site, time would be better spent on other aspects of detailing.
- Provide your own PC and/or rotary buffer along with all necessary accessories such as electrical extension cords, pads, bonnets, wrenches, and connectors.
- Provide your own applicator pads, microfiber towels, and other miscellaneous detailing tools (tire swipes, toothbrushes, foam paint brushes, mitts, etc.).
- PLEASE LEAVE ALL OTHER PRODUCTS AT HOME. <Marj gets on her soapbox> While many of us delight in comparing detailing products from various manufacturers, let's keep in mind that this outing is being sponsored by Poorboy's World. This is an opportunity for all of us to try Poorboy's products for free and get Steve's personal hands-on help with our detailing questions. So, it would be considered good manners to stay on topic by focusing our attention on Poorboy's World products for the duration of this event. <Marj gets off her soapbox>
- Arrangements for lunch will be made on the day of the event. Attendees have expressed a preference for purchasing take-out meals at a few different nearby restaurants and eating together (picnic style) on site. Bring your own lawn chairs, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
- At the end of the day, please clean up after yourselves.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let the man in charge know that I will be bringing my girlfriend and she will be helping me out tomorrow. Thanks and see everyone tomorrow.

I'm going to be doing the same. Also, my GF is a member here: DetailPrincess.

See Everyone tomorrow, I'm looking forward to it!

Well, as my luck would have it, I just finished washing the car and the flood gates opened. It was pouring like crazy. So much for having the car ready for tomorrow

Just finished washing my car too and it looks like it will be raining here real soon! I guess I'll have to get up a little earlier than I expected tomorrow and try again. Then again I do like surprises!:-p

I didn't say my car was dirty, just didn't wash it today. However, by my standards its filthy, but to the rest of the world its pretty clean. But its an hour and a half drive for me so even if i washed it, I would want to wash it again before polishing it. They're would be inevitable bug splatter and dirt, dust, etc. I could spray and wipe though...but I'd rather enjoy the supprise!
