Poorboy's Detailing Day is On

The current Accuweather forecast says "Cloudy, thunderstorms; humid. High 82." We'll just see how accurate they really are.

It's a week and a half away. Anything can happen. They can't forcast tomorrows weather so I dont count on them much.

:lmfao a weather prediction :rolling maybe they can pick the powerball #'s too:nono

I just recently ordered a smalll bottle of S&W and love it! I'm just about out so this is a perfect time for a meet. I think my drive will be about 3 hours. Hopefully no rain or bugs along the way.

Test Vehicle

As some know, I'll be bringing the "Poorboy's World SC430" to the day. Currently has EX-P on it.

I'm trying to get one of my techs or neighbors to also take my company car for product testing, rotary attempts etc.

It's a '98 white Ford Escort Wagon with 137K miles and not maintained except for a wash once in awhile..Great for anyone wishing to try their hand at a rotary:lmfao

Meanwhile, my wife will be wearing out the credit-card mag stripe at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets (too may!) and hopefully not whine when to leave:rolleyes:

See you all there!

Regards,
Deanski

I'm not sure where he is headed but The Fuzz just jumped in his Camaro and hit the northbound lane of I-75 with a bucket full of Poorboys products! :dunno

I may not be able to make it after all. Think you can get George W. to take my place?

but you promised to bring the extra pads with you:boohoo :lmfao

I would be coming but then I found out that it's 7 hrs worth of driving. If you have one within 3-4 hrs of Cleveland let me know.

Oh yeah, baby! I've packed my bags and I'm heading up north for the ladies. There are a lot of fine ladies between here and there, so I may be late. :naughty

Well, don't tucker yourself out along the way. There will be ladies waiting on site too! ;)

Whatever you do don't come early, your liable to have a pack of angry woman in your wake

All I've been doing is hitting it with my new mix of 1Z Lackfinish/distilled water for now.

It may look good in pics, but it does have some swirls and micro-marring that I have to remove. It's been busy, so I've yet to find the time to correct it.

I'll bring those new pads (Surbuff) which are the ones like a fuzzy pad. Interesting pads, only used one once.

Poorboy's World will have all the products. Let's see how many things I can stuff into the SC430
:-p

Only downside.... Wife going to Woodbury damn it! I can only imagine the amount of clothes I'll be bringing back including shoes! Gee, can't wait for that part of the day.. WOnder how long before she wears out the mag-stripe on the credit card.

See you all there!

Deanski

Checklist for Attendees

For those of you planning to attend PB Detailing Day this weekend, here is a quick checklist of items that will be provided on-site as well those items you are expected to bring yourself.

Poorboy's will provide for your use:
- The full line of Poorboy branded products, except microfiber towels.
- Water source, hose, buckets, and mitts for washing vehicles. Sorry, no brushes will be provided.
- Ice cold bottled drinking water all day.
- A few pop-up tents will be available.

Your responsibilities:
- Upon arrival, drive to the East side of the building and park where indicated.
- Sign in at the registration table and receive a name tag.
- If possible, arrive with a freshly or recently washed vehicle. While washing implements will be available on site, time would be better spend on other aspects of detailing.
- Provide your own PC and/or rotary buffer along with all necessary accessories such as electrical extension cords, pads, bonnets, wrenches, and connectors.
- Provide your own applicator pads and microfiber towels.
- If desired, bring your own lawn chairs and sunscreen.
- PLEASE LEAVE ALL OTHER PRODUCTS AT HOME
- At the end of the day, please clean up after yourselves.

A quick survey regarding food... Which of the following would you prefer?

a) pack your own lunch
b) go out for lunch as a large group (LOL!)
c) pick up lunch nearby (McDs, Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC, Subway, and a Shoprite Supermarket are all within a few blocks), and bring it back to eat at a tent with tables.

Any plans for another one if this works out? I'm booked all weekend or else I'd go and I really need the $$ for my business trip to Texas. BTW, if there is another one and Steve doesn't mind, I'd be willing to install some Xpel kits on anybodys car at a very good discount.
