Poorboy's Bold 'N Bright after 2 weeks

Some people claim they've been having some problems with Poorboy's Bold 'N Bright. I just wanted to show my findings.

Initially about 3 weeks ago, I degreased the tires with Simple Green and a stiff nylon tire brush to get back to square one. I then applied BnB via Eagle One Tire Swipe once, let dry for 10 mins, then re-applied. One week later, I applied the same way (swiped on, dry for 10, swipe again).

Since then, we have had 3 light rains, and heavy dew every morning. I have also driven about 200 miles. The tires still had a very nice low gloss sheen to them. No browning whatsoever and universal coverage made them still look great.

I S+W'd the car today and applied the BnB like usual (swipe on, let dry for 10, then swipe again). I also resprayed and wiped in the wheel wells (what I can actually get to in them :lol ). The new coating of BnB showed to bring the gloss level up to a 'medium gloss sheen'.

I feel this 'layering and drying' technique has proven to work excellently with BnB. It has lasted much longer than other tire dressings (Armor All, Meguiar's Endurance, Gliptone WetLook) and no slinging :D

Nice. Wheels are still annoying for me as I just can't get the rubber as clean and I need a new well brush. Has Simple Green worked the best? I'm getting concerned I'm killing the tires with all my over app and cleaning.

Good stuff to know. I just applied BnB to both my parents RLs and my Legend. My mom's RL was driven on the freeway the next morning and no slinging!! I was very pleased.

BnB will also do some light cleaning. I put it on with a EO Swipe and have not found any slinging. Also I find that although the initial gloss diminishes with rain etc. the tires still look jet black with a natural sheen.

Woob: I liked Simple Green for a while, but I found Meguiar's APC+ (between 5:1 - 10:1) has REALLY cut hard at dirty tires. You can see the brown dripping off. I have only tried APC+ once, but it really did some job.

I like wolfgang tire cleaner with a brush then hose off and dry then apply bnb. I love the results i get

I have actually been complaining about BNB at Autopia. I think layering is important and getting the tire as clean as possible. My tires seem to last just a week after all that.

I still get more durability from Z-16.
