Poorboys 2.5 and IHG = scuffing plus UPP

As I continue to refinish my replacement AU falcon tickford xr6 I came to some problems

After washing with fallout remover, I came up against a heap of crud on the paint so had to get out the claybar. Fixed all that up and got to the PB ssr 2.5 step. No trouble applying or removing but when trying to apply farecla blacktop and 3M IHG, the paint was not cooperating. bad scuffing occured

Should I follow 2.5 with PB ssr 1 then do a quick detail or wash job before applying the next product

Decided to give up on the IHG and procedded to Omikron Bodyseal. Paint is now slick. Will be applying ten coats of Klasse SG plus two of wolfgang after that and P21 S waxing the front nosecone.

Also today I sprayed the door jambs with lanolin and then did other areas of the jambs with four star UPP including the boot. The results were eye popping. I love this stuff. It's very runny but the gloss was amazing.

id go from 2.5 to 1 or pp then wax/seal. I noticed too the other day after i went from 2 to IHG :nono it seems like its not bonding or something cause it was very hard to remove even applying thin coats

IHG is non-abrasive and so oily that some stuff might not bond to it properly. It might be uncovering marring from previous products/procedures or you might be rubbing too hard and thus inducing the marring.

After something like 1Z PP I'd always use a milder product, but one that still has a little cut to it.

Finished applying the third of ten Klasse SG coats tonight. I'm following that with wolfgang x 2. Paint has really improved and klassing the glass has really solved the problems I've had with glass before.

Here's the front, sorry about the poor quality but I was in a hurry due to the light going away and had to put on the third coat of klasse before dark.

I've never heard of using lanolin the way you described.

Exactly what kind of lanolin and on what types of surfaces?

Can you explain?

Thanks,

It's an anti rust treatment but can also be used to rejuvinate dashboards. I spray the entire underbody with it once every two months.
