As a kind of experiment, I've just polished the hood of my sapphire black BMW using a PC

Prep :

SSR 1 - Polishing Pad

EZ Glaze - polishing pad

followed by 1 side PB EX-P, the other CG M-Seal - finishing pad

then further subdividing each side to Natty's Blue and P21S - hand applied

Result....

I can see absoultely no discernible difference in terms of Depth, pop or gloss between any of the areas :-)

Should I expect to see differences in durability?

what have others found... I was expecting at least to be able to see some difference to the finish.

You're going to have to have eyeballs calibrated better than most of us to see any difference. You might see some durability difference, but with such small sections, they are likely to bleed into each other a bit.

All these differences are slight. You proved the general saying that "prep is 90% of the result". However, you may have had more discernable results if you skipped the EZ Creme Glaze...

Durability (for me) is disappointing for both, but M-Seal should bead a bit longer.
