Pollen/Dust and Mother's Showtime Quick Detailer...

Black car, and OMG! the pollen, and dust is driving this OCD guy crazy. I have a bottle of Mother's Showtime Quick Detailer, and I'm just wondering if a quick spray and wipe every few days will damage/scratch paint between washes. That's what the product is supposed to be used for, right? Thanks...

Yes, but!! Pollen and dust can create marring (especially in non metallic black paint) by just moving them over the surface. I'd never remove pollen without first rinsing the car with at least a strong stream of water. At the very least I'd use Optimum No Rinse Wash to clean the car--it provides more lubrication and you don't have to drag the hose out like a full wash.

I'd step up to a waterless wash like UWW+, Opticlean or HD's touchless. But any waterless washing over time will definitely cause marring. Its really a matter of how much dust vs marring can you tolerate.
