Polishing & Waxing in high humidity

Is there a certain relative humidity percentage that polishing and waxing shouldn't be done?

Its been very humid here this past week and I was going to polish and seal this weekend, It's about 70% right now.
 
i dont know about the % but if its very humid just apply everything very thin otherwise youll smear everything
 
I don't have problems with high humidity in sticky Houston. I agree with the thin coats. Plus wax in the shade and make sure the surface of the car is not hot to the touch.:xyxthumbs
 
I am in the Houston area as well. The lower the humidity the easier the job, but you can wax at any humity up to 99%. What I would worry more about is the dew point.



By definition, when the air temperature is at the dew point, the humity is at 100% (the air cannot hold any more water). At this point dew(water condensation) begins to form.



I waxed my car one evening. After I applied the wax the ambient temperature fell to the dew point temperature and water started condensing on my car. It became a pain to remove the wax.
 
In high humidity the only thing I notice is that sealants, ie SG, take longer to bond. Not a problem though, I just wait longer before wiping off.
 
Well, I just finished detailing a car and the humidity was about 99%. I did not have any problem with EX-P, as a matter of fact it went on and off the easiest of all the times.

DACP, however, which is famous for dusting, refused to dust at all. I had to do a lot of wiping, but in the end everything came out really nice (sorry, no pics).
