There are these 2 other video links, which I thought were quite good but the movement of the PC seemed alot slower than the one posted earlier.

Autogeek.net XMT video

Autogeek.net Intermediate Swirl Removal

May I know which is the correct speed recommended by most of us here?

Cheers.

IMO there is no perfect speed of movement, because the speed of movement will vary and depend on - what you are trying to remove, what pad/product combo you are using and the speed of the PC.

In the XMT videos, I was using a more abrasive pad/product combo but was only using speed 5 so I wanted to work the area more then normal = slower movements. In the Menzerna Poorboys videos I was removing lighter defects so my movement was faster. With the Heavy swirl removal video I was using a very aggressive combo, speed (SSR3, Cutting pad and speed 6) and pressure, it was working and breaking down faster, so my movement and speed varied.

I always recommend with any new polish to:

* Using a 1'x1' section - apply the polish the same as any other polish

* using little pressure and speed 4.5 - 5 work the polish in.

* At each change in the polish I remove a section and see how the paint looks

* repeat at each change until very little or no hazing is present (this will very depending on the abrasiveness of the polish).

The reason for speed 4.5-5 and little pressure is, it goes through the stages slower so you can determine when it's broken down without under or over working the polish. Now you know what it looks like when it's broken down you can increase the speed, pressure, etc. to get the job done.

Thanks for your clarification, and tips :secret on testing out new polish.

Im quite the noob, and have just acquired a PC:buffing: . Your tips will provide me many hours of fun experimentation, as well as dramatically steepen my learning curve.
