polishing the Karmann Ghia ... please check my work

Wow, thanks! You all have offered lots of refinements and insights. Sorry I have not posted any update. But after getting to the stage where the last pix were taken late Saturday, I have not been able to return to the Ghia, since temperatures here have stayed over 100 and that's just more than I can handle in a curbside detailing extravaganza.

But, based on your comments, I think I'll try an AIO application on a panel, then try the PI polishes on another, and figure out a course of action from there.

And -- heh-heh-heh -- so far, I haven't touched the roof. It's still the sickly orange/pink that it started at. So I'll give it the final touch once I figure out what really works. :D

Corey Bit Spank: Make me an offer!

Spilchy: You overestimate me. Research? Study? Wish we were that sophisticated and careful, but huh-uh. Partner-in-crime just had a yen for a Ghia, found one for cheap on ebay, and bought it (1200 miles from us). We had bought one of the 75 Jags on ebay, and one via cars.com, so we're no longer afraid of e-commerce purchases.
