Polishing side view mirrors

Is this possible or out of the question?

Over the last year these have become more noticeble to a point that they are looking bad on a other wise excellent looking car.

Has any one ever polished mirrors, what products and techniques did you use?

I think these were caused by the ice scraper during the Winter .

Do you have the same problem with ice build up?

:wavey

On my Dakota and PT cruiser they are plastic and not glass.

I use Mothers plastic polish on them every time I detail , keeps them new looking.

if its the housing you're talking about, and they're anything like the ones on my truck, (supposed to be a gloss black plastic?) I just use Meguiar's Deep Crystal System Cleaner (Step 1) to get them clean.

Sorry dude, I have heated mirrors.

If they're that banged up, it wouldn't be too off the wall to replace them.

Otherwise you can take them out and work on them easier when off.

Lynn,

I am talking about the mirrors, not the housing.

Sorry it took long to answer , working hard and the Wife been working nights have to look after my 4 and 1 year old Daughters.:wavey

YoSteve,
