Polishing Paint in Sun

What are some tips for polishing hot paint in full sun? I was using the PC with OP this weekend in full sun and even though OP is suppose to be able to be used in sun, the product seemed to dry up real fast and i was getting a good amount of dust. Is this normal? Was I doing something wrong. I used the same technique as i do when polishing in shade or a garage. It was very hard to use on the hot paint, so i am wondering what you guys do when polishing in full sun and any tips you got to make it easier or more effective. thanks for the help

How much product were you using? It shouldn't dust at all. You can always spray the pad with water/QD

BTW, the new version of OP is very different from the original. Breaks down much faster.

Thanks for the replies. i will try some QD on the pad next time. Maybe I was using too little polish and it was drying up too fast. I do have the older bottle of OP too.

Heres a shot of one padd of XMT3 via the PC on a LC Yellow Pad speed 5 to work it in, then a few at 6 to finish it off:

If it works this well in the middle of the Florida heat, Im sure it'll work for you :)

I use XMT all the time in the sun.....as well as DP's Max Wax. I get good results from them. I'm wanting to try Optimum's new compound as soon as it comes out though.
