Polishing combo

I have a few questions regarding my first attempt at minor paint correction.

First off, I will be correcting minor paint defects on my daily drivers and I'm not looking for 100% perfection. I simply want to keep the vehicles looking presentable and minimize clear coat loss (I keep my cars for a long time). Secondly, I don't want a huge stockpile of products for paint correction, only the bare essentials.

With that being said, here is what I currently have or plan to buy:

- UDM

- 4" orange & white pads

- Z-PC

Here are my questions:

- What level of correction should I expect with the above combo (newer Honda and Toyota paint)?

- If I need to purchase a more aggressive polish, which ONE (1) would you suggest?

Thanks.

not sure on the actual condition and color of your vehicle. Maybe you could post some pics?

Both Honda & Toyota have soft paint so correcting shouldn't be hard at all.

You will be good with ZPC but depending on the defects you might need a foamed wool pad. Try out what you have and see how you like the finished results

I've had excellent luck with M205 on 5.5" white pad. Some correction and finishes LSP ready. With a 4" pad you'll get excellent results IMO.

I'd like to help but I've never used ZPC so I don't know how much cut it has :nixweiss

I wouldn't go with something like M205 since you can finish with the ZPC (actually, I'd probably buy M205 or something from Menzerna *instead* of the ZPC).

Find some product with more cut than ZPC that will leave things nice enough for the ZPC to finish out. (Or reconsider the ZPC.) I dunno if ZPC will take care of the micromarring from M105 or not.
