Polishing bumpers and curved edges

I'm looking to polish my black Mercedes C320l using a PC. The bumper area is very curvy. How best should I go about polishing this area of the car?

Now, if I polish the bumper, can I just polish some of it while leaving other areas alone? If I did that and then later applied wax, would it be noticeable where I polished and where I didn't?

I don't want to mess with some of the hard-to-reach areas if they're not full of swirls.

That would depend on just how badly your car needed polishing.

Don't be scared to 'hand-polish' hard-to-reach areas of the paint. I polish my car by hand as well as by machine all the time not only out of necessity but also because I get great results. If you get hazing or micro-swirls on areas you hand-polish, don't worry.....just move to a progressively lighter polish until you're happy with the way it looks.

IMO, using a PC does not replace swirl/scratch removal by hand. Sometimes I have to correct areas of my paint by hand that just cannot be done properly with a (random orbit) machine.
