OK, Understand this is the 1st time I have done the whole muti-step detail process so bear with me guys. Im woking with a 98 Artic Silver BMW, the paint is in pretty good shape, it has been repainted in areas to repair a few dings and their are a lot of new parts that have been painted in the last 1 to 1 1/2 years. The car is not garaged but I keep it very clean all the time. Once I found this and other sites about detailing I decided to bring my cleaning process up a notch and have purchased a PC and a bunch of products.. Blah Blah. SO what I have done to this point is
Dawn wash
clay
rewash
UPC
UPP
and once finished I will put a carnuba topper on it.
But......
I have put 1 coat of UPP on to this point and while it looks good I think I should have done a bit more work with the UPC. Am I correct to think that if I am not getting the shine I am looking for I need to go back and work with UPC a bit more then re-apply UPP (2 coats?) then use the carnuba? D
Also for those of you that use a PC what speed do you work the product at and just how much product should I be using on the pad. Should it all work out with the PC or will I need to finish with a MF towel?
Thanks in advance for the help from all the "Pros"
