Polisher storage

I recently purchased a mini and 21mm polisher. Neither polisher came with a storage bag, the 15mm I ordered several months ago came with a storage bag. So how or what are you storing your polishers in?

I just purchased 13" and 18" tool bags to store mine in. The mini fits great in the 13" tool bag and the 21mm fits very well in the 18". Here is a pic of the bags.

I have two of these that I store a pc with carpet brush in one, and a GG6 with 4" pads in the other.

Well I have a Flex bag that came with my PE14, and I shelled out stupid money for a Rupes bag for my 15 and 21. Stupid expensive but worth it. Incredibly well made and the inside pockets are very helpful.
 
I have all those bags and more. Was planning on a review sometime...in the far future!

With the Autopia bag, my Rupes 21 sticks out a little out the top. I forget though, If I have the "base" set up for bottom storage or not. (sorry)

I don`t know why, but I`m weird about having a tool in those bags. I don`t understand it. As of now, aside from the 21, I keep them in their boxes.

I did buy a hard case from Rigid, and keep my MT300 and GG6 in there. I still need to modify it further so I can carry the case with its handle. (I`ll be placing foam in it to keep the tools from shifting around)
 
My flex stays on a shelf in the garage since I only do actual correction from Home and not Mobile (yet at least) . My PC and HF DA are in a large plastic tote along with extension cords,backing plates/DA Brushes and my Sidekick air blower.
 
Heh heh, I`m probably the only guy here who merely keeps his polishers in their original cardboard boxes (well, the older Cyclo got a new box when I sent it in for a going-over, which it didn`t end up needing).
 
The Blackfire Pro Detailing bag fits my Flex & Mini perfectly. I also have a Husky bag that works well for my extra pads.

maybe. Most of mine are in the original boxes. The Rupes was bought "used` so didn`t have a box. The MT300`s box was torn up, so I tossed it.

I like the boxes since it`s easier to stack/store them, versus flexible bags (huh, I just found a reason why I don`t like the bags! Thanks!!!)
 
I do the same as Paul, use the Blackfire bag. It will hold my Rupes 21, 15, and Mini comfortably. I have 3 of the Autopia bags full with bottles to take with me as needed. I like to be able to grab the bags and toss them in my trunk for jobs away from home.

Wow, the Blackfire bag holds the 21mm, 15mm, and mini, it`s bigger then I thought. I may have bought that instead if I would have known it was that big. I wonder
how many polishers the larger Griot`s bag will hold, and how it compares in size to the Blackfire bag?
 
Haven`t needed it yet, traded a coworker a like new Casio gshock watch for this law enforcement patrol bag (aka reinforced/heavy dutyduffle bag). My intention was to use it for hauling my Rupes and Dewalt.

I`ve seen those wall-hangers before. Cool... if nothing else goes on in your garage.
Not even close to practical in my own case as it`s also a working garage and there`s all kinds of stuff in the air at any given time (grinders, painting etc) so mine live in a set of stackable plastic toolboxes, pads are in clear-sided plastic rubbermaid totes. All of which is in a different room in the house. PIA but it`s not like I need them everyday like you would if you did other peoples cars.

Good point. Those wall hangers are a little too "pretty" for most places outside of man-caves.
 
I use Really Useful Boxes (google it). They make a size that fits 5/6" inch pads perfectly. I then store those on the bottom of a big box with all 3 of my polishers sitting on top. Everything is sealed so no dust/dirt gets in. Have a couple of others to store towels and other tools (foam cannon, tornador, PW stuff)

Was on their website...almost too much stuff to choose from....which box do you have the pads in...and what size are those pads?

I have a slat wall set-up in my garage/storage building, so I hang my polishers on the wall to keep them from taking up valuable shelf space in my cabinets. Plus they look kinda cool I think .

Obviously this wouldn`t work for guys doing mobile detailing, but for the hobbyist it works well.

That is one kick butt garage setup! Do you have pic`s with more of your garage detailing setup? If so please post them.
