Polished Bliss: Lamborghini Gallardo - Ne Plus Ultra (TM)

First off. Wow. That was an amazing read.

Couple questions for you. How much does a job like this cost the customer? How much does a job like this cost you in products? 55 hours spent on this car, how long until this lambo needs another detail job like this?

wouldnt it be funny if you told the owner "hey, i just ran it thru one of the gas station drive thru washes", haaaaa.

Hey Stranger...how are you doing???:wavey

Just adjusting to life without the Z. Sucks even worse that one of my good friends just did a bunch of stuff to his 95 TT and made me take it for a spin 2 days ago. Woe is me

One of the best write ups I have ever read. In my favorites this one goes.

What kind of camera was used?

Two were used; a Nikon compact for a lot of the durings and a Nikon D300 with 16-85VR lens for a lot of the afters. :2thumbs:

The cost for these details varies hugely depending on the amount of work required; we have a detail lined up for early next year that may end up taking twice as long! The product cost isn't much more than a 2-3 days detail, what stacks up is the time taken. This car is now on a maintenance contract with us, and will get washed and waxed every month or two from now on, with a minor correction detail once a year to ensure the finish remains perfect. If the car stays on contract with us, it should not need this level of work to be conducted again. :)

i love long indepth writeups/logs like that. You did a wonderful job on that lambo and i'm looking forward to the next ne plus ultra thread

I don't get 'round to posting much, but I had to say how impressed I am, not only with the incredible outcome, but the artisanship, beautiful photography and thorough write-up. I'd place that car in an art gallery rather than the motorway! Full marks, mate!
