Polished Bliss: A Week On A Prancing Horse!

This is a great thread!

Unbelievable job on the write-up, pictures and the detail.

Like Todd stated, it's like reading a great novel!

Awes0me job!

Thanks for the time and effort of making a thread like that. I usually get bored reading a lot of info just thrown together. But you had it spread out nicely.

Lost for words!:woot:

Wow. Almost all C&B's of red ferraris I have seen are very plastic looking and shiny, but no depth or wetness. That's what I expected to see on this one as well, but man that blew me away! Very wet and deep for a red! Great job!

The plastic or tarp-lined "bathtub" shown in photo #6 above might be a requirement for outdoor vehicle washing if there are some stringent water use/wastewater recovery regulations in the UK. I would be curious to know the real answer, if Cupra gets time to respond! Perhaps it’s just a device to limit or control run-off water.

His post is like a good book. I keep coming back to it to read it again. :goodjob

PS: Top-Notch photography, too. Must be a NIKON user!! :woohoo:

Simply perfection! WOW... I need a bunch more products and skill to finish my vehicles at your level of perfection!!!!! Just amazing!!!!

hi guys, sorry about the delay in replying, been too busy to get back on here!

Yes the camera is a Nikon, but only a basic one, cost me £50!

I'll try to remember all the questions asked but if i miss anything out please ask again or pm me :)

- The bund that we wash the cars on outside basically catches all the water which we then pump into a big tank, this is down to the fact that there is no drainage system here so the council insist on us using it - so obviously we have to keep them happy :chuckle:

- This was the start of a maintainence plan so the cost was different to a one off payment but if it was a one off then it would have been £495 (we charge £395 for a full correction detail then £100 if the customer wants Vintage applied).

- Carbon on the trim: This is something new we discovered when we were on our Zymol training course and it works very well, carbon works better than Vintage etc as it is slightly oilier and darkens the trim more

- The engine cover is glass, just the Stradale and the new Scuderia F430 that are plastic as far as i'm aware of :) HD Cleanse was used on the inside of the glass and i think it was Werkstatt Prime Strong on the outside.

Lastly, a big thanks to all that commented on the detail, much appreciated!

Ah, that's interesting. I've used Pinnacle Souveran on trim for ages, and I sometimes think about getting some Vintage instead, so that info is good to know. Thanks for mentioning it!
